My boss couldn’t believe I spent $150 a month on a CrossFit gym.
He looked at me like I was out of my mind.
“$150? For a gym?”
Meanwhile, he was driving a brand-new car with a payment that was triple my membership.
To him, the car was worth it. To me, the gym was.
And that’s the point.
We all have our own definition of what’s worth it. The mistake people make is assuming everyone else should value what they do.
And that’s one of the reason that I love Mr. Money Mustache. He was able to follow his own path to retire at 30.
And you don’t have to be part of the fire movement to be intentional with your finances. It’s obvious that early retirement isn’t for everyone.
But everyone should be critical about the way they use money, because as so adequately described in the above video, our money should make us happy.
Until Next Time,
Jake
